The province Cádiz has borders in the north with the Provinces of Huelva and Seville, in the east with Málaga and contains at the strait of Gibraltar both the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea. You reach Cádiz from Seville by the national road IV and from the other coastal cities along the mediterranean Sea by the Autovía del Mediterráneo AP-7. The only civil airport of the province lies in Jerez.
The climate in Cadiz is mediterranean and due to its closeness to the Atlantic Ocean in Winter it can be very rainy. The winters are mild but in the interior there can be frost. In summer the temperature sometimes can rise above 104ºF. The average annual at the coast is around 64ºF.
Cádiz not only has to offer fantastic long beaches with fine with sand, but as well wonderful Nature Parks and unique landscapes. Especially remarkable for lovers of nature are the National Park Doñana, the mountains of Sierra de Grazalema, the protected cork oak forests and of course the strait of Gibraltar where you can observe numerous dolphins and whales. The altogether 260 kilometres of Atlantic Beaches is known as Costa de la Luz. The coast around Tarifa is very popular among surfers.
Due to its long history and the many cultures that have lived there, the province counts with many monuments and archeological remains. There are as well typical festivities as for instance the Carnival of Cádiz or the horse races at the beach of Sanlúcar. In the interior we find Jerez with the city´s famous bodegas and wines and the route of the white villages.
