Nightlife in Malaga
Malaga and the other towns along the Costa del Sol are famous for their active and cheerful nightlife, which becomes especially clear in summer, when the temperatures rise, the nights grow shorter and the big amount of tourists arrive at the Costa del Sol.
The first choice to enjoy good nightlife is probably the party town Torremolinos with its various bars, discotheques and beach locals, above all the chiringuitos of Los Alamos and the establishments in the city centre along Calle San Miguel. This town never sleeps in summer due to the high amount of visitors, so that one can go partying almost every night. Malaga City – as the biggest locality of the Costa del Sol – offers a great variety of exciting nightlife, too. Most bars and discos are situated in the old part of the city, between Calle Alamos, Plaza Uncibay and Calle Granada.
The night clubs of Malaga are well-known for their different music styles, ranging from house over rock, pop to dance music. The capital of the Costa del Sol also offers very good tapa bars where one can have dinner before going out. Puerto Banus in Benalmadena is another party location that stands out due to the fancy nightlife along the local marina.
Fuengirola, situated southwest of Torremolinos and Benalmadena, is an important party town, too, and especially recommendable for international and older guests, because the night scene is rather calm and concentrates on cosy bars around the city centre.
The last party location is Puerto Banus, the paradise for the wealthy and famous, situated just a few miles west of Marbella. The night life there is more expensive than in other towns along the Costa del Sol, but it definitely provides a certain standard of party feeling.
